Top Korean Artists for January 11-16 2021

Blueprint scanned Facebook’s trending keywords list for the week of 11-16 January 2021. The top keywords scan included Korean pop groups, actors, and drama shows with a total of 23.9 million data points. Data points refer to the total number of posts, shares, comments and reactions from emoticons.

As a result of the scan, Grammy nominee and Korean pop group BTS got the highest Facebook engagement among Korean artists having a total 10.6 million points or 44% of the total data points. Following BTS is the All-girl group Blackpink at 9.3 million. Blackpink member, Jennie, celebrated her birthday during the week and received millions of greetings from fans. After BTS and Blackpink, the Korean drama True Beauty got the third spot, with 2.9 million points. Other Kpop groups and artists that had significant engagement are Got7, actor Lee Min-ho, all-girl grouup Twice and NCT.

Blueprint’s initial weekly report for 11-16 January 2021 placed the category of K-pop on fourth place, after the keyword Covid-19.
