Blueprint scanned Facebook on trending keywords for the week of January 11 to 16. One hundred twenty two (122) top trending keywords were scanned and categorized to 12 themes, namely: Catholic, Christianity, Covid-19, KPop, Local Entertainment, Friday, Facebook Live, Wealth Management, Basketball, Government, Local News, Gaming. More than 1 billion data points were gathered from more than 100,000 posts that had comments, shares, and reactions (emoticons).

Filipinos are still the world’s biggest flock of the Catholic faith, as posts on Traslacion of Black Nazarene and Feast of Sto. Nino dominated Facebook with 47.9 million reactions (such as shares, likes, love and comments) to the 8,828 posts from January 11 to 16, 2021.

Christianity ranked second, with 40.5 Million reactions to keywords such as God, prayers and 500 years of Christianity based on 44,307 posts on Facebook.

This is according to the latest sentiment analysis of research firm Blueprint.PH which analyzed a total of 111.4 Million posts on Facebook, reflecting positivity among Filipinos despite health and economic challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Covid-19 issue ranked third, with 5.7 Million reactions to the 32,269 Facebook posts, followed closely by heavy engagement of K-pop fanatics of BTS, Black Pink and Lee Min Ho with 5.3 Million reactions to the 11,594 Facebook posts.

Filipinos are also highly engaged on issues like local entertainment, Friday, Facebook Live, Wealth Management by Chinkee Tan, Basketball, government, local news and Mobile Legends.
