Variety and game shows are still among the Filipino household favorites, with Willie Revillame’s “Wowowin” in the top 10 topics trending on Facebook.

BluePrint.PH scanned the top 10 favorite variety and game shows among Filipinos for the period 16-31 January 2021, using more than 10 million data points or posts, comments, shares and reactions to the keywords, Wowowin, ASAP, It’s Showtime, and Eat Bulaga.
Wowowin earned the top data points at 3.4 million followed by ASAP, Showtime, and Eat Bulaga. The results reflected high engagement among Wowowin fans, while ASAP fans had the highest number of posts.
ASAP is shown every Sunday in the last couple of decades. Recently, ASAP is shown on local channel TV 5, digital and cable platforms of its mother studio-ABS-CBN. ASAP showcases big stars from ABS-CBN, with fans of young artists actively posting on social media about the show. Wowowin, on the other hand, is shown every day late in the afternoon and gives away huge instant cash prizes to lucky audience, mostly from poor households.
