Rising to prominence as a popular entertainer, Vicente Sotto III is the scion of a politician from Cebu who became Senator and author of the Libel Law. Currently the President of the Senate of the Philippines, Sotto is serving his fourth term in the Senate since being elected in 1992. He entered public service as Vice-Mayor of Quezon city with a tough anti-drug platform. As a private individual, Sotto is a well-known songwriter, champion bowler and husband to actress Helen Gamboa.
