As a collective, what do Filipinos post, react to, share or comment in Facebook?
On January 9, 2021, Blueprint aimed to look into the topics Filipinos are engaging and what they post, share, or comment to in Facebook. Based on 75-76 top trending keywords, Filipinos share their sentiments on (from highest to lowest):
Kpop groups particularly BTS, Black Pink, and Twice topped the trending keyword themes, having almost half of the total engagement scores. This is followed by the theme of Faith, mostly in Catholicism and to the Poong Nazareno. This indicates that kpop has a very strong among Filipinos and also Filipinos maintain their devotion to spirituality and religion, extending their expressions in social media. Engagement score, is the number of shares, reactions (like, sad, angry, love, wow), and comments.
