Faith, Kpop superstars, local shows dominate the top trending topics from Sept. 16-30

Many significant events and news went by and we are approaching the final quarter of 2022. Hence, Blueprint.Ph presents the top most engaging topics from September 16-30, 2022.
Catholic Church and Kpop superstars get the top spots
Consistently at number 1 is the reigning queen of trends, the Catholic Church. Posts from Quiapo Church on their Facebook account features live masses, Mama Mary, and the Nazareno. Also mentioned were the feast day of the first Filipino martyr, San Lorenzo Ruiz, other saints, and the Peñafrancia festival.
Ladies truly run the world as more queens dominate the second spot: Blackpink. Blackpink’s fandom, Blinks, trended their comeback album, Born Pink, along with the two most influential songs Pink Venom and Shut Down.
The Korean colossal stars, BTS, owned the third place on the trend list. Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS) headlines with their upcoming free concert Yet To Come to be held on October 15 in Busan, South Korea. At the same time, the release of Proof Collectors Edition engaged conversations among the BTS Army.
Martial Law and top mainstays KMJS and SB19 grabbed the 4th to 6th spots
Many Filipino FB users never forgot about to talk about Martial Law as its 50th Anniversary occupied the fourth trending topic in the country. Protesters and netizens showed their own little ways of commemorating the losses, as well as expressing their dissent, of what was known as the Philippines’ “darkest era”.
Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (KMJS) is at the fifth spot among the trending topics. It aired one of its most watched episodes, with 5.1 million views, featuring the pregnancy of an eleven year-old, “Hindi Biro Maging Ina, Nanay na Si Onse”.
At top six is P-pop group SB19 for their upcoming Where You At tour. A’tins dominated the Philippine social media when SB19 announced their tour in Pampanga, Cebu and Davao. Quirky reactions towards the news could be observed from the fans.
Penafrancia Festival, Local Shows get into the last 4 spots
Penafrancia 2022 is this list’s seventh placer. For this year, the celebration in Naga City gained a lot of pictures and stories including the procession and the fluvial parade.
At number eight is Kapamilya. #KapamilyaForever trended as they celebrated the milestone of having the 41M subscribers on ABS-CBN’s YouTube channel. There were also mentions of their flagship variety show, “It’s Showtime!”
GMA 7’s new show “Abot Kamay na Pangarap” is the ninth trending topic. Starring Carmina Villaroel and Jillian Ward, this afternoon serye replaced the equally trending Apoy sa Langit.
Idol Philippines occupies the tenth spot as it aired its second season grand finals on September 18th. Apart from the champion KhimoGumatay, Philippine Idol judge Moira de la Torre also wowed Facebook users with her new look during the finals.
All of these are the biggest trends that transpired during the final half of September. It was quite a ride, thus we are now looking forward to what the last few months of the year may bring.
