The top trending keywords for the first half of September reveal that Facebook posts related to the Catholic Church Quiapo Church and Mama Mary remained consistently at number one.
Shows from GMA-7 are at number 2, namely, Apoy sa Langit and Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho. Apoy Sa Langit: AngMasayangPagwawakas posted on Facebook Videos gained 4.8 million views from September 3 to 15. Additionally, the video has more than 116,000 reactions of 57,000 likes and 56,000 love. On the other hand, the post from the page DUMAGUETENOS featured a lady who was described, as “AngNawawalangKambal. E KMJS Yan!, who seemingly looks a lot like the Kapuso reporter Jessica Soho.
The number 3 most engaging topic is celebrity news, particularly about Janella Salvador. According to the actress, she is now a single mother. At the same time, Janella Salvador plays Regina Vanguardia o ‘Valentina in the Darnateleserye.
The fourth most engaging topic among Filipino FB users are Local typhoons Henryph and Gardoph, and Hinnamor from South Korea. For students and employees alike, typhoons are regularly monitored to know whether or not they will stay safely at home. Posts on Hinnamnor and the photos of flooding it caused in Seoul, South Korea gained high engagement as well.
Sports being is consistently part of the top 10 trending topics is now at number 5 with keywords: PBA and the US Open. Alexandra Ealais the first Filipino to win a Grand Slam Singles Championship at the US Open Juniors in New York City, USA. Her triumph is one of the most engaging series of posts on the topic of US Open.
Boy bands, Magazines, Online Shopping and Posts on Government trended as well
At number 6 is SB19. SB19 released a new song on September 2, entitled WYAT. To date, it is now at the ninth spot on Youtube’s trending music and has more than 1.8 million views from September 2 to September 19.
Preview Magazine Ball 2022 (with hashtag #previewball2022) trended at number 7. Specifically from the posts of social media darlings, AlodiaGosiengfiao, Marian Rivera, Kylie Versoza and Ruru Madrid, the ball became the talk of the town.
At number 8 is Lazada because of its yearly 9.9 sale which extended until September 14. Online shopping pages which tagged Lazada such as Sskait and Madam Kilay gained high engagements too.
The colossal group BTS is at number 9. Posts on their upcoming free concert in Busan, South Korea and the release BTS Proof Collectors’ items are the main topics of engagment. At the same time, the posts of Filipino influencers who will have a chance to see them in Busan trended. Another source of engagement is “UST Goes Namjooning”.
