Representative of the 4th District of Leyte, 2019 to present, Lucy Torres-Gomez was a popular model before entering politics with her husband Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez, who was a popular actor. Torres is an ardent proponent of a strong national security capability for the Philippines. She sponsored the amendment to a time for breast feeding babies during work hours under the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009.
