Scanning a total of Facebook posts with a total of 25,052,140 data points representing posts, shares, comments and emoticon reactions, communications consultancy and management firm BluePrint.PH identified the top trending local news and entertainment shows based on interactions of Filipinos on Facebook.
BluePrint.PH’s big data scan during the month of March 2021 found that KMJS, Wowowin and Unang Hirit were the leading shows that were mentioned or the topic of posts, shares, comments and reactions on Facebook, and occupied the top three position among the top 10 trending keywords for the month of March, 2021.
KMJS tops the list of Facebook Ph’s trending topics on Local News and Entertainment for March, accounting for 1,064,556 engagement score out of a total of 343 posts from publicly-available Facebook pages for the month. Stories from KMJS was shared more than 500,000 times and generated more than 4.5 million reactions.
The post of a photo about young male circumcision with the caption “Siguradong natatandaan mo pa ‘to! #KMJS” was the highest performing KMJS story for the month and was shared 94,283 times with more than 100,000 emoticon reactions.
Top influencers for KMJS were Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (One at Heart, Jessica Soho), GMA News, and Nrthrn TWN.
Placing second is Wowowin with an engagement score of 944,422 in 349 posts shared 444,139 times and generated 2,868,364 reactions during March. The top influencers for the keyword Wowowin were the WowOwin official Page, GMA Network, and Shopee. Among its top stories was a video post on March 22 titled “Wowowin: 11-anyos na bata, lumalaban sa sakit na leukemia.” With caption: “Aired (March 19, 2021): Ikinagulat ni Kuya Wil nang malaman niyang ang kausap niyang 11-anyos na bata ay nakikipaglaban sa sakit niyang leukemia .” The story had an engagement score of 75,148 and was shared 33,471 times and got 397,774 reactions.
Unang Hirit was the third hottest show on local TV for the month with an engagement score of 702,096. Posts about Unang Hirit generated 1,425,538 reactions and were shared 523,331 times. Its Last of the Month Photo Post: This April, pray for a month full of blessings” earned the highest engagement score of 62,870.
Top influencers were Unang Hirit GMA News and GMA Public Affairs.
Raffy Tulfo in Action ranked fourth with 194,544 shares over a total 132 posts. Posted stories on Raffy Tulfo in Action earned a total of 538,130 engagement score. The top performing story was a photo post for Good Friday with text “Sa pagmamahal ng Panginoon sa atin, inialay niya ang kanyang anak na si Hesus, upang tayo ay matubos sa ating mga kasalanan.”
The post earned an engagement score of 23,792 and was shared 8,272 with 133,288 reactions. Top influencers for the show were Raffy tulfo in action, TV 5, and Marino PH.
Pinoy Big Brother or PBB is at 5th place with an engagement score of 204,121. A post by one of PBB’s top influencer Robi Domingo was the top PBB related story for the month, a photo post with captions “With our PBB Connect Big 4”.
The post had an engagement score of 12,502 with 661 total shares and 117,862 total reactions. Other Top influencers for PBB are Pinoy Big Brother ABS-CBN, and ABS-CBN.
First Yaya ranked sixth with an engagement score of 203,191. Stories about the show were shared 523,331 times and was reacted upon 1,425,538 times.
A video post posted by its top influencer GMA Drama had the highest engagement score at 14,217. The post was video a highlight from an episode of the show with captions “#FirstYaya #Highlights: Nag-hi lang sa’yo si Yaya, ‘di mo na kinaya, Conrad?” Also among the show’s top influencers for the month were Sanya Warriors and Sanya Lopez.
